A millennial supergroup dubbed Mount Westmore was established by West Coast rap icons Snoop Dogg, Too Short, E-40, and Ice Cube.
They have done multiple promotional runs to promote their new album. The four-man group was invited to speak candidly about the factors that contributed to the duration of their careers on Talib Kweli’s People’s Party podcast. Ice Cube honestly discussed how he first met Tupac Shakur while working as a roadie for Digital Underground. Tupac was a young, ambitious emcee.
“He would always tell me like, you know, “This Digital s**t is nice, brother, but I want to do songs like y’all,”” Cube said of ‘Pac’s insistence that he wanted to make music like to that of Cube and N.W.A. Because everything is messed up where I live, he continued. You understand what I mean? I want to discuss how the s— is.
