After His Arrest, Country Music Artist Zach Bryan Claims He Was "Out Of Line"

After being detained, country music artist Zach Bryan acknowledged he was acting “out of line” and issued an apology over social media.

Based on jail records, Bryan, 27, was taken into custody in Vinita, in the northeastern part of Oklahoma, yesterday, September 7.

He was brought to the Craig County Jail at 6:42 p.m. for his mug shot and later that day was released on bond after being charged with obstruction of inquiry.

Following the mug photo’s “floating around” on social media, Bryan used Twitter and Instagram to explain what had transpired.

Although he could not provide specific details regarding the event that led to his arrest, the musician expressed regret to the cops he interacted with, stating that he was “frustrated in the moment.”

“I experienced a situation with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol today. He wrote, “I was out of line in what I said and emotions got the best of me.”

“I sincerely apologize; I was just furious at the time and I support police enforcement as much as anyone can. They hauled me off to jail, and my mug shot is all over the place.

“I’m sincerely sorry to the officers, and I’m trying my best to help us all move on from this. Please pray for us all to be able to move on.”

But in a subsequent tweet, he seems to have taken everything in stride, writing, “STILL F**KN HIGHWAYING ACROSS THE COUNTRY OL SONS LET’S GOOOO.”

Bryan then released a video in which he was seen discussing the event in further detail with the camera and calling the person a “idiot.”

The cop had asked him for his address while he was traveling through a tiny village, he continued, and at first he didn’t feel comfortable giving it up, but in the end he did.

Bryan’s security guard was pulled over the following day, so he followed suit. An additional officer then threatened to put Bryan in jail if he didn’t get back into his car.

He brought him over to his car, saying, “I get too lippy with him.”

“And I felt like a child, and I just didn’t help my situation at all.”

Bryan finally became increasingly irate, “mouthing off” to the police, and was brought into custody.

With the exception of the minor incident involving his incarceration, Bryan has had a rather busy month. He just released his self-produced fourth studio album, titled Self-titled.

It features “I Remember Everything,” with Kacey Musgraves, which is his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also made its debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 with the largest streaming week for a rock album.

The Oologah, Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter became well-known on YouTube after his song “Heading South,” which was about his experience in the U.S. Navy, went viral.
