Co-stars Of Friends With Matthew Perry Offer Heartfelt Tributes Following His 54-Year Death

The Friends cast has paid tribute to co-star Matthew Perry on social media.

Perry, who was 54 years old, was discovered dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, October 28.

In honor of the actor, who gained international recognition for his portrayal as Chandler Bing in the popular US sitcom Friends, fans are swarming social media.

Since then, Perry’s Friends co-stars have opened up about his demise.

In the sitcom, which debuted on NBC in 1994, Perry costarred with Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Courtney Cox (Monica Geller), and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani).

The show, which aired for ten seasons over ten years and was named as one of the greatest TV series ever on numerous lists, was a mainstay of childhood television and a comfort watch for a lot of people.

The ensemble, who are great friends both off-screen and in real life, reunited for a reunion special in 2021. And have since reconnected to honor Perry with a heartfelt tribute.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,” they wrote in a statement. We were not just coworkers on the show.

“We’re going to take a minute to grieve and comprehend this unbelievable loss right now, but there is so much to say.

“When we have more time, we will share it with you.

“For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Star of Friends Maggie Wheeler, who portrayed Chandler’s long-term on-again, off-again girlfriend Janice Hosenstein, paid homage to Perry on Instagram earlier today (Sunday, October 29).

Oh, what a loss,” she wrote. Mathew Perry, you will be missed by all. We shall never forget the joy you brought to so many throughout your far too brief existence.

“I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared.”

Morgan Fairchild, who portrayed Perry’s mother on TV, also honored the celebrity.

The actor declared: “I’m devastated by my’son’ Matthew Perry’s’ sudden passing.

“It is shocking to lose such a talented young actor. Love and condolences go out to his friends and family, particularly to his father, John Bennett Perry, with whom I had the pleasure of working on Flamingo Road and Falcon Crest. #MatthewRIP.”

A picture of Perry was also posted to the official Friends page on X, which was once known as Twitter.

“We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing,” the caption says. For us all, he was a genuine gift. We send our condolences to his family, friends, and all of his admirers.”
