After just one week, the Britney Spears memoir has sold one million copies in the US alone.
In her eagerly awaited memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which has already sold over 1.1 million copies in the US in just its first week, Britney Spears takes charge of her own narrative. The book includes hitherto unpublished information on her ascent to international prominence and her continuous hardships, including the conservatorship that gave her father long-term authority over a large portion of her life.
Spears thanked Simon and Schuster’s Gallery Books on Wednesday, saying, “I poured my heart and soul into my memoir, and I am grateful to my fans and readers around the world for their unwavering support.”

The 1.1 million sales total includes sales of print books, audiobooks, e-books, and pre-orders. When the book was published on October 24, commentators hailed it as an intriguing narrative about Spears’ life, revealing that she had an abortion more than 20 years prior, when she was dating Justin Timberlake.
However, it is untrue that Britney Spears claimed on Instagram that her book was the “highest selling celebrity memoir in history” for her book. It’s not even the best-selling memoir of the year, in actuality. Although it was the best-selling book published last week, Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare,” which was published in January, sold 1.6 million copies in its first week of publication.
Spears only used Instagram to promote her memoir, though. Luminate statistics indicates that “The Woman In Me” contributed to an increase in streams and revenues of her music collection. Sales of her albums increased by 36.8% and on-demand streaming by 18.2%, respectively, and these figures kept rising in the days that followed. Her album sales rose by 61.4% and her US streaming went from 16 million to 19.8 million, a 24% rise from the previous week.

Nevertheless, Spears’ streams have decreased from 703 million in 2021 to 657 million. Just two years prior, she had remarkable growth as a result of the backing she received from the #FreeBritney movement. Which was sparked by her conservatorship.
The initial surge in popularity of the book was caused by the critically praised audio version of “The Woman In Me,”. Narrated by actress Michelle Williams. Although the publisher did not immediately provide an audio sales figure. Gallery claims that it is the fastest-selling audio release in the history of the firm.
