Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs planned to celebrate their Super Bowl victory last Wednesday in Kansas City.
They were able to accomplish this through their parade, which travels across the city. At the end of the procession, the squad delivered a congratulatory speech on stage. However, things quickly escalated when shots were fired. Several people were shot, and one was killed. Overall, it was a devastating tragedy that left many in the town reeling. Even now, many are seeking explanations as to what transpired.
Furthermore, some fans have waited for the team’s stars to speak out about what happened. Travis Kelce is one of them. On Monday, he and his brother shared a tape from New Heights in which they discussed everything that happened. Travis and Jason were clearly disturbed up by the whole situation. However, Jason was impressed by the city’s residents’ resilience. “One of the things that’s evident is how much Kansas City is coming together and rallying around the people that have been affected by this,” the mayor added.
Furthermore, the two brothers suggested donating to the victim’s fund. Overall, the money will benefit the impacted families greatly. Travis also thanked the Kansas City fans, saying they’d be back stronger than before. “We appreciate you, 92%ers. Kansas City and Chiefs Kingdom, we love you. We’re with you, and we’ll see you soon,” the tight end stated.
