Larry Allen, probably the best inside offensive lineman in NFL history, has tragically passed away.
The club confirmed on Monday that Allen died on Sunday while on vacation with his family in Mexico. No more information about his demise was revealed.
“The Jones family and the Cowboys extend their deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to the Allen family,” the organization stated in a statement, “and grieve along with the many other friends and Cowboys teammates that also loved Larry.”

Allen was only 52 years old.
The Hall of Famer joined the Cowboys in 1994, after being selected in the second round of the draft, and quickly established himself as one of the team’s top players. In his first eight seasons with the star on his helmet, he was named All-Pro seven times and appeared in 10 Pro Bowls.
Allen quickly became a fan favorite, particularly after he demonstrated his ability to bench press 700 pounds.
He spent 12 years with Dallas, starting 170 games throughout the offensive line. He continued his career in San Francisco, playing two more seasons with the 49ers before retiring from the NFL after the 2007 season.
Allen, who won one Super Bowl with Dallas, was inducted into both the Cowboys Ring of Honor and the Pro Football Hall of Fame immediately after retiring.
“He was deeply loved and cared for by his wife, Janelle — whom he referred to as his heart and soul, his daughters Jayla and Loriana and son, Larry III,” wrote the Cowboys.
