Sean Kingston secured a $100,000 bond and was released from jail in Broward County, Florida, on Tuesday after being arrested last month on multiple allegations.
CBS News Miami published video of the musician leaving the facility with a white t-shirt covering his face before hurriedly getting into a vehicle outside. He is accused of stealing money, jewels, a Cadillac Escalade SUV, and furniture after allegedly scamming many firms. His allegations include grand theft, deception, unlawful use of personal identification, and violating probation by trafficking stolen property.
Kingston’s attorney, Bob Rosenblatt, says they intend to enter a not guilty plea and are “very confident” in a jury trial. “Well, I’m not sure who is claiming to owe money. Rosenblatt stated, “We were aware of the watches, and we are aware of the TV issue.” “If there are any further issues I am unsure about… This is a breach of contract. There is no scam here. There is no organized scam at all.

Police also arrested Kingston’s 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, in connection with the alleged plan. They charged her with organized fraud, grand theft, identity theft, and other felonies. As reported by CBS, she previously pled guilty to bank fraud for taking more than $160,000 in 2006. She had been in prison for more than a year.

Following the arrests, Kingston collaborated with NBA YoungBoy on the new single “Why Oh Why.” He’s most known for his string of hits in the 2000s, with his classic tune “Beautiful Girls” reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007. That same year, his eponymous first album peaked at number six on the Billboard 200.
