Matthew McConaughey got into some trouble after a bee bit him straight in the eye — or pretty darn close, according to his most recent Instagram picture.
The actor’s right eye is entirely swelled shut, as seen in an up-close selfie released Wednesday, and it appears to be beyond unpleasant.
MM titled the photo “bee swell” to provide context, but he didn’t reveal any specifics or whether he is allergic to bees — just enough to have us buzzing with questions!

Nonetheless, the “Magic Mike” star smiled and appeared to be taking it all in stride, though releasing the photo suggested he was hoping for some old-fashioned sympathy.
And Mathew’s supporters were obviously concerned and praying for his rapid recovery… but it appears that he’ll be fine!
