The battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar may be gone, but the opinions will not cease anytime soon.
LL Cool J was the latest to comment on the heavyweight fight, calling the Toronto superstar’s involvement with the Pulitzer Prize winner a “bad choice.”
The 56-year-old rapper chatted with Hot 97’s TT Torrez and agreed with the popular agreement on the winner. Kendrick won the battle. I mean, come on. That is evident. “That is a no-brainer,” he stated. “Listen, I like Drake. I enjoy his music and think he’s a really cool guy. We do not know each other, but I enjoy his songs. I’m glad for him and everything.”
Despite his admiration for Drizzy, he believes he may not have understood what he was getting into with the Compton rapper. “But, you know, Kendrick… that might have been a bad choice.” Aside from the setback, he believed the feud benefited Hip-Hop.
“I respect both of them,” LL Cool J explained. “Don’t get it twisted; it was excellent for Hip Hop culture. As a result, their names will go down in history. Even the very act of discussing it now is etching it into history.

He responded similarly in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, and he also encouraged the For All The Dogs artist. “He did his thing, he showed up and I think his fans can feel comfortable with that,” the actor from NCIS told reporters. “As long as it doesn’t distract you from your ultimate aim, it’s a great thing to do. “I love it.”
Despite his status as a Hip-Hop icon, the Queens rapper is still working for his ultimate aim. He plans to release his debut album in over a decade, which will be entirely produced by Q-Tip. He began the rollout with “Saturday Night Special,” featuring Rick Ross and Fat Joe.
