Keanu Reeves is revealing his open thoughts on mortality, and the truth is… “the end” is on his mind right now.
The actor appeared on the BBC with novelist China Miéville to promote their new novel, “The Book of Elsewhere,” which follows an immortal figure who wishes to die — which explains why the grim issue was brought up in the first place.
As Keanu put it, at the age of 59, he’s “thinking about death all the time,” especially because he defined himself as “young-old.”
For others who were concerned about his preoccupation with death, KR defended it as a positive thing.

Here’s his most optimistic perspective on his death fixation… “Hopefully it sensitizes [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have, and the relationships that we have the potential to have.”
Keanu’s confessions did not end there; the actor later revealed in an interview that he did not create “The Book of Elsewhere,” and credited China entirely.

However, because the new work is based on Keanu’s “BRZRKR” comic book series, CM claims the A-lister deserves more credit than he is ready to accept. China clarified: “It wouldn’t exist in the form without a lot of very thoughtful and careful work with Keanu.”
This could be one of Keanu’s more odd interviews, and the headlines about him and death will undoubtedly be shocking. Fans may rest easy knowing that he is completely healthy.
He’s simply Keanu, therefore he thinks more deeply than most.
