Infant Decapitated During Delivery In Heartbreaking Incident

A complaint that was filed last week claims that a doctor beheaded a baby while giving birth to a Georgia lady by using excessive force.

Attorneys for Jessica Ross and her boyfriend, Treveon Taylor, provided an account of what transpired during the birth of the couple’s kid at Southern Regional Medical Center on July 9 on Wednesday. The attorneys claim that Ross was completely dilated and told to start pushing at around 8:40 p.m. According to the complaint, the infant was born vaginally but was having trouble descending because of shoulder dystocia. According to reports, Dr. Tracey St. Julian, M.D., used a variety of techniques, including applying tension to the infant’s head, to try and deliver the child vaginally. After that, the medical professionals performed a c-section.

One of the couple’s attorneys, Dr. Roderick Edmond, claimed that when the womb was opened, “the feet came out, the body came out, and there was no head.” The baby’s skull, face, and neck bones were fractured when Dr. St. Julian entered the room and attempted to deliver the child by pulling and manipulating the baby’s head and neck with extreme force. He remarked, “When they wrapped this baby up tightly, they propped the baby’s head up on top of the blanket to make it appear that the baby’s head was attached, when it wasn’t.”

The couple has now filed a lawsuit against Dr. Tracey St. Julian, the hospital, and a number of the nurses who assisted with the birth. They are charged with egregious negligence and lying about what transpired.

“Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those impacted by this tragic event,” the hospital said in a statement. While we offer the family our condolences, Southern Regional Medical Center disputes the complaints made about the institution in the complaint. We are unable to make any further declarations because this subject is still under dispute. Dr. St. Julian is not a hospital employee, to my knowledge. In reaction to this regrettable circumstance, the hospital has taken the necessary actions.

According to the lawsuit, Ross and her family were not informed of the decapitation when Dr. St. Julian spoke with them at 5 a.m. on July 10. The hospital allegedly discouraged Ross and the baby’s father, Treveon Taylor Sr., from requesting an autopsy, claiming that given the circumstances, they had no choice but to pay for one. Instead of sending their son to a funeral parlor, they allegedly advised the couple to cremate him.

The funeral home ultimately informed the family about the decapitation, according to the family’s attorney. Ross, who was awake during the doctor’s effort to remove the baby, and Taylor are seeking damages for Ross’s “tremendous mental and physical anguish and trauma” as well as the suffering and death of the kid.

A full recovery of damages for the baby’s life’s value, including lost wages and enjoyment of life, is also requested in the case.
