Alan Ruck, well known for his appearances in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Succession,” was questioned by police after his truck smashed into other cars and eventually a pizza business on Halloween night in Hollywood, according to TMZ.

Around 9 p.m., the crash occurred at the busy junction of La Brea Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, near the west end of Hollywood’s iconic Walk of Fame.

Ruck’s Rivian is shown in surveillance video rear-ending a car that was stalled at a traffic signal, then careening into another car before ramming through a wall at Raffallo’s Pizza business.

“The whole building shook, and I thought a bomb or something had exploded,” Tim Ratcliff, owner of numerous businesses adjacent to Raffallo’s, told KTLA’s Chris Wolfe.

Ratcliff claims he ran to assist Ruck, but the actor was more concerned about the welfare of others.

“‘Are you okay?’ I questioned. And the first thing he said was, “Is everyone (else) okay?” I believe I hit someone. ‘Is he all right?'”

Ruck admitted to Ratcliff that he had no idea what had transpired.

Ruck, who played Cameron Frye in the 1986 John Hughes comedy classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” is seen interacting with officials at the site, presumably unharmed.

On Oct. 31, 2023, a three-vehicle collision drove a truck crashing through a pizza shop in Hollywood, injuring at least one person.
Two other vehicles involved in the crash were stranded in the intersection. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a 32-year-old man was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, and the building experienced minor structural damage.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

Ruck has been in hundreds of television and film productions throughout the years, and he was recently nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Connor Roy on the smash HBO series “Succession.”
