Netflix has released a new biographical drama series based on the life of one of the world’s most famous porn actors.
The story is partially based on the life of Rocco Siffredi, the ‘godfather of rough sex’.
If you don’t know who that is, a fast search for his name will tell you everything you need to know. Don’t do it at work or in public.
Siffredi has starred in over 1,300 pornographic films, including 1986’s Belle d’Amour and the slightly less subtle Rocco’s Perverted Secretaries 3, which will be published in 2022.

Siffredi, at 59, has decreased his pace but continues to work in production and behind the scenes.
Not only that, but he is the subject of Netflix’s most recent provocative series.
Siffredi is portrayed by Italian actor Alessandro Borghi in the series, which has already been dubbed the’most graphic’ on Netflix.
Director Francesca Manieri brought some artistically bold goals to the project, and it certainly doesn’t shy away from the racier portions.

Manieri spoke about the series, Supersex, saying she wants to ‘deep dive [into] the center of masculinity’.

She told The Independent, “My goal was to put men ahead of themselves.” This is known as the phallocentric system, in which the d*ck is the focal point of thought before anything else.
She went on to say, “How can men put themselves in front of the image of their symbolic d*ck and try to deconstruct all of this?”
Siffredi, one of the most prolific pornstars out there, has made it obvious that individuals should think very carefully before embarking on a pornography career.
He said, “Think three times, maybe four or five, before you decide to do something like this.
“I [was] born to do this, but so many people think, ‘Oh, come on – I go, make money, and become famous.'” It’s not like this.”
The series has received varied comments, with some questioning whether it gets Siffredi off the hook too easily because of his involvement in ‘tough’ sequences.
Regarding these moments, Siffredi stated that they are always shot in collaboration with his co-star, addressing the Berlin film festival: “We talk and decide whether to do certain types of scenes.”
Whatever your thoughts, a biographical drama about a pornstar raises a lot of concerns about society’s unhealthy connection with the industry, which has only been exacerbated by the internet and the ease of access it provides.
