Michael Jackson’s controversial Neverland theme park is reopening to film sequences for a new movie about the late singer.
As shown in the aerial images, the film company behind the biopic has rebuilt trademark features from Jackson’s ownership of the 2,700-acre ranch near Santa Barbara, including the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and circus tent, which have all been given colorful makeovers.
The renovated Neverland Ranch is full of life and fun, with a variety of additional fairground activities, including a hot-air balloon ride and a red train.

Filming was in full swing on Friday, with camera teams set up and extras engrossed in their roles as balloon sellers, ride operators, and food stall merchants.
Michael stopped living at Neverland after Sheriff’s detectives executed a search warrant for the child molestation case in 2003. Although he never returned, his estate continued to co-own the Ranch until 2020, when Ron Burkle, a Jackson family friend, paid an estimated $22 million for it.
The MJ biography stars his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, as the King of Pop… and, because the Jackson Estate is behind the film, it will include several of Michael’s songs.
A first look trailer for the film was presented at Lionsgate’s CinemaCon panel earlier this month, but keep your hats on, as production is only halfway complete.
Fans will have to wait until 2025 to see the movie in theaters.
