Tom from Myspace was one of the original social media greats, dominating the game as early as 2003.
It existed before Facebook and Twitter, and it appears that individuals still hold a flame for the social network.
But others have begun to remember and wonder what happened to founder Tom Anderson.

Myspace became the world’s sixth most visited website in 2005, and it’s frightening to think how much the landscape has evolved since then.
Tom sold his network to News Corporation for $580 million, which also controls Fox News and the Wall Street Journal.

He served as Myspace’s president for a few years before retiring in 2009 when the company’s new owners fired him.
This was conveniently timed to coincide with Facebook’s meteoric rise in popularity.
However, it appears that karma came back to bite the corporation, since News Corporation suffered a significant loss when they sold Myspace for $35 million in 2011.
And that was indeed the end of it.

It appears that he began investing in property before traveling with a camera and becoming a travel photographer.
I’d probably do the same thing if I had enough money to last forever.
But it appears that Tom did not completely abandon the realm of social media, since he was an advisor to a firm that created a Facebook application.
He currently has a presence on all major social media platforms, including Instagram and X (previously Twitter).
Despite his massive following, he’ll never have the 250 million friends he had on Myspace back then.
