Life continues on for Thomas Matthew Crooks’ father in the aftermath of his son’s death as a result of an assassination attempt on Donald Trump… since he was just seen in public for the first time since the fatal event.
Matthew Brian Crooks ventured out Monday in the family’s hometown of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, filling up on groceries before returning to his car and refusing to answer questions about his now-infamous son.
The Crooks patriarch informed a Fox News Digital photographer that the family will release a statement if their legal team encouraged them to do so… and that they had no comment until then.
TMC’s father did offer this, though… “We just want to try to take care of ourselves right now.”
Matthew was shopping with a disguised woman — it’s unknown whether she’s Thomas’ mother or another relative — and it appeared that he doesn’t want to perform too many grocery runs in public… because his cart was full to the brim.
As you know, Thomas sneaked past the Secret Service at Trump’s July 13 rally in Butler, PA and fired rounds at the presidential candidate from an adjacent building’s rooftop. One of Thomas’ shots struck Trump’s ear, while another killed audience member Corey Comperatore. He was later slain by a counter-sniper.

Thomas lived with his parents in Bethel Park and belonged to a local gun club. In 2016, the Trump campaign featured his father, describing him as a staunch Republican who enjoyed guns.
The Crooks are collaborating with an FBI investigation, and it appears they will have more to say soon.
