Two migrants were detained for a knifepoint rape in Coney Island, including one who unlawfully entered the US via the southern border in 2022 and was caught four months later on rape charges in Brooklyn, according to law enforcement officials.
David Davon-Bonilla, 24, a Nicaraguan migrant, allegedly grabbed the 46-year-old lady and slammed her to the ground before raping her with a knife to her throat at 9 p.m. Sunday at Surf Avenue and 16th Street, according to cops and sources.
His alleged accomplice, Mexican migrant Leovando Moreno, 37, is accused of hitting the woman’s 34-year-old boyfriend with a pipe when he attempted to halt the brutal assault, according to reports.
The horrifying incident occurred outside a motel that houses asylum seekers.

According to sources, Davon-Bonilla was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree assault, first-degree sexual abuse, menacing, and unlawful possession of a firearm. He formerly lived at a La Quinta Hotel on Third Avenue that had been transformed into a migrant shelter.
According to sources, Davon-Bonilla entered the United States illegally through Texas in December 2022 and pled guilty last year to a brutal sexual assault on a 34-year-old lady at the La Quinta.
On April 23, 2023, the victim was raped and sodomized within the hotel. It’s unclear why Bonilla was permitted to stay in the US after being freed from jail in that case.
The victim of the Sunday night crime is from out of state and looks to be homeless, living in an encampment under the boardwalk near where she was raped, according to sources.
