After receiving criticism for his dance moves, Jason Kelce is standing up for himself, but with a bit of humility.
After a video of Kelce, 36, dancing on ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast went viral, one person on X (previously known as Twitter) branded the retired Eagle a “clown” in a post and attacked his character based on the clip.
“White men in the modern era are only allowed to be a few very limited and tightly controlled things,” the user wrote. They continued: “But this particular Regime approved white male phenotype — the clown, minstrel, drunk, immature, ‘mind your biz’ consooomer, joke, adult baby, slob — is easily one of the worst.”

Kelce saw the post and sent the user a thoughtful note. “I’ll admit I am all of these adjectives at times, but if you think these are the only words that I represent, I highly recommend you watch my documentary on Amazon,” the father-of-three wrote, referring to his Prime Video Sports documentary Kelce, which will premiere on the streaming service in October 2023.
Kelce proceeded with his response to X: “Very successful, and while playful, still has a lot of values about life, family, fatherhood, and marriage that you would appreciate I think.”
Finally, the former NFL player suggested that the X user view the heartbreaking, 40-minute address he gave on March 4 to announce his retirement from football.
“Also my retirement speech, while admittedly crying much more than I wanted to, is a different tone than my buffoonery as well,” Kelce explained to the X user.

Kelce also responded to another user on X, bashing their dance moves. In a quote tweet proclaiming Kelce one of the “top 2 guys you wanna party with,” a lady named Sara Gonzales replied, “Counterpoint: I would be embarrassed to be seen with a grown ass man doing this.”
Kelce responded, seemingly unconcerned: “My wife Kylie says this frequently. Embarrassing her is one of my greatest pleasures.”
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, on the most recent episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason joked about the “devastating” comments about his dance routines on social media.
“Just countless people quoting a photo of you dancing and saying, ‘This is a full-grown adult male with kids, and he’s doing this in public.'” I am like, ‘You know what? I mean, you make a good point. “It is ridiculous.”
Travis, 34, was impressed by his brother’s spectacular performance. “I keep watching that and laughing so hard that I weep, guy. I felt very proud. I felt very proud. “Everyone thinks I’m the dancer,” Travis explained on the podcast.
“Dude, you are the most electric dancer I’ve ever encountered. “Dancing can make anyone happy,” the Kansas City Chiefs star added. “Thanks for that. I’ll keep that forever. I’ll keep that in my back pocket on an f—ing cloudy day.
