In 2024, Lil Yachty and KARRAHBOOO have been at odds, with one Concrete Boys associate pursuing allegations against the other.
The latter is no longer with the group, and she has spoken out extensively about the incident, namely her charges against Yachty, for a number of reasons. The most recent of them came during the Atlanta femcee’s visit on DDG’s No Ordinary podcast, when she stated that the “Strike” MC utilized a team of writers for his 2023 psych-rock album, Let’s Start Here. Yachty jumped into DJ Akademiks’ comments section for a post about this issue and addressed the charges directly.
“No one has ever written for me just for the record,” Lil Yachty said. Of course, having writers for a psych-rock album is quite different than having writers for a hip-hop album, but the weight behind them is still significant given Yachty’s status in the culture. He also leveled ghostwriting charges against KARRAHBOOO, claiming they had a falling out over her refusal to hire writers when she was with Concrete Boys. They both claim to have receipts and have even shared some of them, but it’s more a “he said, she said” situation.

In terms of their particular ambitions, Lil Yachty has a busy 2025 ahead of them. He will accompany Tyler, The Creator on his CHROMAKOPIA global tour, with additional backing from Paris Texas. Fans can’t wait for the record, and with this announcement, their enthusiasm has grown even more as they want to catch this live experience. Maybe Lil Boat is on the new album, but we won’t know for sure until it drops on Monday morning (October 28).
KARRAHBOOO has released the tune “SBM” and has distanced herself from Lil Yachty and company. Furthermore, several of her words are ambiguous enough to pertain to other persons in the sector. At the end of the day, we only hope that these two former colleagues resolve their issues personally, even if they do not reconcile publicly. Until then, the assaults are likely to continue.
