During his tour, Jelly Roll has exceeded his target weight loss—100 pounds (45 kilogram).

Backstage during a performance, the singer-rapper displayed his slimmed-down body in a Tuesday Instagram video.

“Next year when y’all see me, you won’t recognise me,” he said jokingly in the tape. “I’m going to find myself buried under a weight stack unlike anything else.”

Real name Jason DeFord, Jelly is on the road for his Beautifully Broken tour right now.

Ian Larios, his dietary coach, later hailed the 39-year-old for “crushing” his health targets.

“We just passed the half-point of the tour, and Jelly’s been smashing it,” he said. “We’re either boxing, playing basketball, wandering (around) the stadium. He recently exceeded his 100-pound weight reduction.

Ian then enumerated some of the ways he is including additional protein into Jelly’s diet. To “fuel him before a show,” he will prepare a banana with Manuka honey, Stevia, dark chocolate shavings.

Using potato and rice flour rather of the conventional batter, the health conscious eating guru will also create his version of Nashville hot chicken.

Ian asserted, “We’re still having a high-protein meal,” then showed how he made his French fries in bone broth. “(This approach) air fries it, thereby enhancing the protein in it but also gives it that wonderful crunch. It therefore fools your brain into believing that this is, much like, that delicious greasy Nashville deep-fried hot chicken. He’s going to feel as if he’s dining at home. That is healthy. It cooked in air. It’s high in protein and keeps him on target.”

Jelly came clean back in April saying he has dropped over 70 pounds (31 kg).

“That 100-pound weight loss goal from last tour is huge,” said Ian.

The next event for the Hitmaker from Need a Favor is Friday in Knoxville, Tennessee.
