Gypsy Rose Blanchard is cutting through the mystery around her unborn child’s paternity — we’re told she’ll finally take a paternity test this week!
According to sources familiar with the case, Gypsy is not challenging her partner Ken Urker’s paternity; rather, she is doing this to provide closure to the public, as well as her estranged ex Ryan Anderson, so he and everyone else can go on and know for certain that RA is not the baby daddy.
Ryan isn’t aware of the test, according to reports, because Gypsy only requires Ken’s DNA to certify his paternity. She is certain it is him; yet, if it is not, the results will clearly reveal he is a 0% match.

A paternity test before the baby arrives can cost anywhere from $500 to $2,000, and Gypsy is reportedly paying for it herself, going via a local company.
Gypsy will still have to take another court-ordered test when their daughter is born in January, but she hopes that these preliminary results will allow her, Ken, and Ryan to move on with their lives.
It’s also worth noting that Gypsy’s divorce from Ryan has yet to be formalized, and under Louisiana law, Ryan is immediately named as the father on the birth certificate. The only way to officially change this is with a court-ordered paternity test that proves Ken is the father — after the delivery.
