The fourth film in the series, directed by Chad Stahelski, has John Wick (Keanu Reeves) searching for a new foe through “strong alliances.”
According to a summary, John Wick finds a way to beat the High Table. Wick must first battle a new foe with strong global affiliations and forces that convert former allies into enemies before he can earn his freedom.
Bill Skarsgård, who plays the new management Marquis and appears to be Wick’s major adversary, is a significant new addition.
The cast also includes Donnie Yen, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, Scott Adkins, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, and Ian McShane in addition to Reeves and Skarsgard.
In the fourth installment, Rina Sawayama also portrays Akira. Earlier this year, Sawayama discussed the job with a source and stated, “My crew are just so rattled by the fact that we even got offered John Wick, so I believe… none of us really know what’s going to happen.
“What actually happens to people in movies?” we ask.
“The scale is insane this time,” she continued, “and I’m not being biased; it’s unquestionably the best John Wick that there has ever been.”
John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2023.
